If you want to speed up the process, put your scraps in a blender with a little water and they will love you for it :) <br />I always cover my smaller bins with shredded newspaper and then a sheet of cardboard. And it makes it easy to pull back some of the newspaper to feed. Just pour the blended scraps in and recover. Works great for a small bin like in the plans. Good seeing you again. I've just come to the "Valley" in Texas for a few weeks of volunteer work and miss my compost bin and garden, but brought some of my houseplants with me.
